FARGO, ND (December 5, 2011) - Fargo resident Randy D. Johnson has been selected as the new CEO of the Minn-Kota Region of the American Red Cross.  Volunteer chairman of the local Red Cross board of directors Duane A. Lillehaug announced the selection today.

MINOT, North Dakota, August 24, 2011 – The American Red Cross office in Minot is moving from the Minot Auditorium to Rehab Services Inc. located at 112 2nd Ave SW.  Red Cross staff and volunteers were displaced from the original Minot office during the flood.

Over the last couple of months, the Red Cross office has been temporarily located in the Minot Auditorium.  The Red Cross office will be moving out of the auditorium this week to accommodate local schools who need the space.

As many of you may already know, the Minot Red Cross office was inundated with water from the Mouse River flooding.  Over the last couple of months, the Red Cross office has been temporarily located in the Minot Auditorium while the original office is cleaned and renovated.  The Red Cross office will be moving out of the Minot Auditorium this weekend to accommodate schools who need the space.  The office will be moving to a temporary location that is yet to be determined.  Keep an eye on our website for updates on the new location!

MINOT, North Dakota, August 2nd, 2011- On June 22 the rising Mouse River in Minot and surrounding areas caused the evacuation of almost one quarter of the local population.  While more than 10,000 people were evacuated from areas ravaged by the worst flood in history, fewer than 500 people sought refuge in shelters set up by the American Red Cross and other local entities.  With less than 5 percent of the evacuated population in shelters, the remaining evacuees were taken in by residents in unaffected areas, who opened their homes and their hearts to families, friends and stranger

Donation of $125,000 presented to American Red Cross

MINOT, North Dakota, August 3, 2011 – Wal-Mart staff members presented a donation of $125,000 to the American Red Cross today. Mid-Dakota Chapter Executive Director Allan McGeough accepted the gift.

“Wal-Mart is a strong community partner with the American Red Cross. As a supporter of the Annual Disaster Giving Program for the Red Cross, they recognize the importance of support when the unthinkable strikes,” McGeough states. “Their dedication to corporate philanthropy is deeply appreciated.”
